Clutch Volvo 240 (4 Cylinder)
A clutch that slips under acceleration or a pedal that judders and grabs are common signs that the driven plate and release bearing are starting to wear out on a four-cylinder 240. Since the 240 came with B21, B23 and later B230, it pays to check the engine and gearbox against the driven plate diameter before ordering parts – the splines and pressure plate dimensions differ between the versions.
