Cracked defroster jets, loose ducts and a rattling fan box are common wear points when you take apart the heater package on a 240 without A/C. On cars with B200/B230, much of the fresh-air box is held together with small fasteners that easily break or get lost during removal – and then the whole job often grinds to a halt.
