Rotary control heater valve A/C 1973-75 for Volvo 164

Poor cabin heat, a sweetish smell or fogged-up windows often point to a worn-out heater core or leaking connections. On the 240/260 with A/C the core sits in a tight spot behind the instrument panel, and the combination with air conditioning means the hose routing, mountings and vacuum control differ from cars without A/C – which is why these parts are gathered here.

This category collects parts around the heater core itself and its connections. The group includes hose and connecting pipe for the coolant, fasteners and clamps that lock the hoses, bracket and cross recessed screw for mounting, vacuum bellow for the control, plus the hatch. When replacing, the hose ends and the clamps are typical check points – old hoses become hard and crack at the pipe stubs, and a sluggish vacuum bellow gives air distribution that won't obey the control.
Always check the version against the chassis number, since the 240/260 received several facelifts up to 1991 and the details around the heater package changed over the years.
