It is precisely the copper washers and hollow screws that often make themselves known – with every removal of a hydraulic connection the copper washers should be replaced with new ones to avoid renewed leakage, and hoses with cracked ends are a recurring check point during restoration.
The 240/260 series received a completely new front axle with MacPherson struts compared to its predecessor, which makes the right parts for the power steering important when working on the steering gear.
