Loose fuse contacts, oxidized sheets and brittle rubber grommets are classic electrical faults on a B20-equipped 1800. When the wiring is rerun or a fuse holder is replaced, you often need a whole bunch of small bits at the same time – and these are exactly the parts this group collects.

This group includes fuses, rubber clamps and grommets that protect the wiring where it passes through sheet metal, plus clamp, screw, washer, lock washer and nut to secure the boxes and wiring neatly. On B20 cars the electrical system is 12 volt, and from the 1969 model year the generator is rated at 35A – clean and stable contact in the fusebox is then important so the charging and lighting circuits hold their voltage.
A common check point during restoration is to replace dry rubber grommets at the same time as cleaning the fuse sheets, so you avoid recurring contact faults after the panel is refitted.
