Corroded belt retractors, worn webbing and rattling attaching rings are classic inspection points when a 140 or 164 is being made roadworthy again. Because the anchorages and retractor design differ between early and late cars, the belts are split by model and year, so that the anchorage and 7/16 UNF bolts fit the original holes.
