The group includes the spring and bushing for the height mechanism itself, plus the screw, nut, washer, lock ring and cotter pin that secure the joints. A knob is included for operating the adjustment. During a refurbishment, the springiness of the springs and the play in the bushings are typical check points – if they are worn out the mechanism binds or the height collapses under load.
The parts are limited to the 164 with height adjustment and chassis up to 1974, since the design differs from later seats. Always check that your seat has height adjustment before ordering, so that the cotter pins and lock rings fit the mountings.
