Body Sides Components Volvo 145 (1967-74)
Rust in the sills and bottom swell is a classic wear point on the Volvo 145, where the long estate body collects moisture and grit along the side. If the panel flexes at the jack pad or the paint bubbles below the door, the sill and inner plating should be checked before the welder is brought out.

This group includes panel families for the side of the 145's 5-door body: wheel housing, centre pillar, sill plate, bottom swell and sill. Since the 145 was built from 1967–74 with body changes during production, it pays to compare the shape and mounting against the existing panel – sill profiles and wheel housings can differ between early and later model years. During a side restoration, the inner and outer sill plating along with the transition to the bottom swell are typical points to go through at the same time.
