Rubber-metal bushing for the safety steering column on late Volvo Amazon models. Manufactured to original specifications for correct fitment, safe steering and preserved original function.

Volvo was among the first car manufacturers to introduce a collapsible safety steering column, already in the Amazon from 1968, despite the successor Volvo 140 already being under development. The steering column is divided into two sections by these rubber-metal bushings.

Over time, the rubber ages and the vulcanization can separate, causing steering play and imprecise steering. In severe cases, the steering column sections may separate completely.

Important to check

Inspect the bushings regularly. Common symptoms of worn bushings:

Steering play not originating from the steering box

Clicking noises when turning the steering wheel
