Starter Motor 12V – Volvo B18, B20, B30, 240, 740, 940 – New

New 12V starter motor for several classic Volvo models and engines. The starter motor has threads directly in the mounting flange, which means no nuts are required for installation.

Two new metric M12x90 mm bolts are included and replace the original inch bolts.

Important installation information

The supplied M12 bolts replace the original inch bolts.

On some cars, the holes in the bell housing may be too small for the M12 bolts. In this case, the holes may need to be drilled out to at least 12.5 mm.

To access the upper mounting bolt, it may be necessary to loosen the rear gearbox mount and lower the rear of the gearbox slightly.

Good to know

This is a completely new starter motor, not a reconditioned exchange unit. The old starter motor does not need to be returned.
