Oil cooler Volvo D24T

Oily drips under the front or a hose that starts to weep at the nipple are common signs that the seals in the oil cooler circuit have hardened. On the D24T the system works with both heat and oil pressure, so hardened O-rings and tired hose clamps are typical checkpoints when you go looking for leaks.

This category gathers the wear and sealing parts around the oil cooler: hoses, nipples, O-rings, hose clamps and screws. During a rebuild it is practical to replace the O-rings and clamps while you have the system open, so that an old seal doesn't force a new job shortly afterwards. Always check the hose dimensions and the nipple thread against your car before fitting.
