When the light beam wanders it is often the adjusting device or a worn adjusting screw that is the culprit rather than the reflector itself – check them before condemning the whole lamp.
When replacing, it is worth looking over the gasket and strip at the same time, since intruding moisture clouds the glass from the inside and shortens the life of a new unit.
