Uneven noise from the rear end or oil around the mountings on an 850 with all-wheel drive should be checked before it gets more expensive – the bearings in the split rear axle are a typical wear point as the mileage climbs. Unlike a purely front-wheel-drive 850, the power here is routed rearward to the Delta-link axle, and it is exactly these transitions that are sensitive to wear and leakage.
