Brittle fasteners, loosening chrome trim moldings and rust streaks under a loose drip channel are common symptoms on early 264 from model years 1975–78. When the original anchorages have dried out or broken, it's rarely enough to just replace the molding itself – it's often the whole chain of fasteners, retainers and washer that needs reviewing so the molding sits tight and seals against the plate again.
