Brake caliper Girling 240 HB
136 kr
Sticking guide pins and worn rubber caps are classic symptoms when a Girling rear brake caliper starts to drag or fails to release properly. On the 240/260, disc brakes are fitted all around, and the rear caliper is simpler in design than the front – but for that very reason it is often neglected during a rebuild.

This category gathers Girling-type rear brake parts for the 240/260. The group includes the brake caliper and brake pads, splash guard, guide pin and split pin, plus smaller wear parts such as the pin, rubber cap and air nipple. When rebuilding the rear brake, a typical checkpoint is that the guide pins and rubber caps are intact and free to move – dry or cracked boots let in moisture, which causes the piston to rust and the caliper to hang up. Also check that the air nipple can be bled without snapping off.
Since the 240/260 came with different brake manufacturers, it is important to distinguish the Girling version from the ATE version, as calipers and fittings are not interchangeable between the systems.
