Interior rear view mirror repair kit Volvo 1800E, 1800ES – Part No. 1210889

Note! Only works on push-button type mirrors (D/N), not sliding type.

Installation instructions:

• Make sure the mirror has the D/N button and is not the sliding type. If it is the sliding type, a push-button type core is required.
• Remove the adjustment screw and carefully drill out the roll rivet, removing as little material as possible. Separate the arm from the mirror.
• Remove the old plastic parts and glass from the core.
• Make holes in the new plastic housing for the locking tabs of the mechanism.
• Install the mechanism in the housing.
• Install the button and glass.
• Refit the mirror to the arm and reinstall the adjustment screw.

These mirrors were originally never designed to be disassembled and restored. Work carefully so that no tabs are damaged, and avoid removing more material from the roll rivet than necessary.
