Rear light Volvo 164 (1967-72)

Sun-faded or cracked taillight lenses and bulbs that have gone out are common findings on the 164 from the years 1967–72. Cracks let in moisture that oxidizes bulb sockets and contacts, which in turn causes intermittent brake lamps and turn signals – typical inspection points ahead of the test.
