Oil dripping under the gearbox and sluggish shifting are often caused by dried-out seals – a common age-related issue on the AW70 automatic in the Volvo 240. This category gathers wear parts and sealing material for that specific gearbox, so leaks and delayed shifts can be remedied without replacing the entire unit.

The group includes gaskets and gasket sets, O-rings, dipstick tubes and pipes, anchorage screws, plus springs and kickdown-related parts. During a rebuild, the oil pan, the seals against the housing and the dipstick tube are typical checkpoints when level and tightness need to be secured. A worn O-ring or a cracked dipstick tube is enough to make the gearbox drip and show the wrong oil level, which in turn affects the shifting feel on the four-cylinder B engines in the 240 series.
