Rattling under load changes, a dull thud when you select reverse, or vibrations that increase with engine speed can point to a tired gearbox pad. The rubber collapses over the years and lets the gearbox move more than intended, which also wears on adjacent mountings.

This category gathers mounting parts for the gearbox on the 240/260 of model year 1975-78. The group includes the gearbox pad and engine mount, the cross member, plus the mounting kit's flange screw, screw, washer and wave washer. On these early model years it is worth comparing the pad's design and the member's hole pattern against the car, since the driveline differs between the four-cylinder B21/B23 and the V6 B27. A common check point during replacement is to also inspect the rubber for cracking and to torque the flange screws correctly.
