An oil leak at the flywheel casing, a back-up lamp switch that has stopped giving light, or rings that don't seat right after disassembly – that's when the small parts around the M46 decide whether the job ends up tight and quiet again. This category gathers wear and sealing parts for the manual M46 gearbox on the Volvo 240 and 260, the gearbox with built-in overdrive that was fitted in the series across many model years.

The group includes gaskets, safety rings, sleeves and washers as well as spring washers, screws, plugs and a back-up lamp switch. During a rebuild, gaskets and safety rings are typical check points – new seals and correctly fitted lock rings keep shafts and bearings in place and prevent new leaks after reassembly. Comparing against an exploded view helps when the parts need to go back in the right order during assembly.
