Rusty joints, sagging rubber hangers and an exhaust part that starts rattling against the floor are the classic symptoms on the 760/780 with the V6 B280F engine. A typical check point during a restoration is to replace the seal ring and all the nuts at the same time – rusted-on fasteners can rarely be reused without damaging the thread or flange. The wave washer keeps tension in the connection and prevents the nut from loosening under the vibrations from the V6.
