A rough idle, poor cold start or a high fuel level usually comes down to a worn CD175 carburetor on the late 240 models with the B21. Rubber and diaphragms dry out, threads pull loose and return springs lose their tension – then throttle response and rev drop become unreliable.

This category gathers wear and service parts for overhauling the carburetor on the Volvo 240 from model year 1985–87. The group includes gaskets, caps, springs and return springs, plus screws, washers, nuts and bushings that belong to fitting and adjustment.
During a rebuild, the gaskets between the split planes and flanges as well as the return spring's function are typical check points – a leak here causes false air and a sticking throttle body. The parts fit the 1985 and later version; always compare against your existing carburetor before replacing.
