Volvo 240/260 Fuel tank/Fuel system
Rough idling, poor cold starts or a gas smell in the trunk often come down to tired parts in the fuel system – leaking fuel lines, a worn combined tank unit or a pump that has lost pressure. How the system is built depends on the engine and model year: carburetor engines (B20A, B230A), K-Jetronic injection on the E/F engines, the turbo variants B19ET/B21ET/B21FT and the diesels D20/D24 with their own fuel injection nozzles and nozzle pipes.
