Rough idle, sluggish throttle response and poor cold starting are among the classic symptoms when the CD175 carburetor on a B21A-equipped Volvo 240 starts to wear out. Worn gaskets draw false air, a worn metering needle gives the wrong mixture, and a sticking lever means the throttle does not return smoothly.

This category gathers wear and service parts for the CD175 on the 240 between 1979 and 1984. The group includes metering needles, throttle discs, gaskets, caps, levers, and small parts such as screws, washers and lock washers – parts that are typically replaced during overhaul or adjustment.
During a service, the gasket set, the metering needle and the throttle disc are common check points: a throttle disc with play against the housing often causes uneven idle. Always check the year model and version against the car before ordering, as the parts differ across the 240 series production years.
