Ignition System Volvo 240 (B19ET/B21ET/FT)
Weak spark, misfiring in damp conditions or a rough idle often starts in the distributor. On a 240 with the turbo engines B19ET, B21ET and FT, the distributor cap and rotor arm are wear points that become brittle and develop burn marks on the contacts, while a tired ballast resistor can cause hard cold starting.
