Important fitting information

This piston ring set is +0.020" oversize and must only be used in B18 engines that have been bored and honed to this size. Always check the cylinder bore before ordering.

When replacing piston rings, the cylinders should be honed so that the new rings have the correct surface to work against and can bed in properly. If the cylinders are not honed, there is a risk of poorer sealing and lower compression.

After fitting, the engine should be run in carefully. Avoid high revs and heavy loads immediately after the ring change. A good start is to let the engine run at a raised idle, approximately 1 500 rpm for 30–60 minutes, and then run the engine in gently.
