During a rebuild, a typical checkpoint is precisely the gaskets and hose connections – leakage here empties the system and gives poor cooling. Take the opportunity to also check the pulley's condition, since it drives the compressor, and that lock rings and mounts sit correctly, so that vibration doesn't wear connections loose.
