Leaking hose couplings, a cracked gasket or a slipping fan belt are classic complaints on the early 240 cars with the B19 and B21 from 1976-77. When the AC system needs to be sealed or taken apart, it is often the small components that decide the result – a worn gasket or the wrong screw can easily cause a new leak.

This group includes sealing and mounting parts such as gaskets, hoses and the fan belt, together with screw, nut, washer, flange screw and stud. Keep in mind that the model year and version determine the fit on the early cars, so always check the dimension and thread against the original before ordering.
During a rebuild, the hose and gasket are typical inspection points since rubber and seals harden over the years, while the fan belt should be checked over for cracks and the correct tension.
