Hard, shrunken gaskets and rusted-in studs are the classic wear points around the inlet manifold on a 740 with the B19ET. When the seal lets go, the engine draws false air, which shows up as a rough idle and cold-start trouble – so it pays to replace the gasket and sealing parts while the manifold is off anyway.

This category gathers the small parts that belong to the intake's mounting and sealing. The group includes gaskets, plugs, springs and nipples together with fastening hardware such as nuts, washers, studs and wave washers. The families cover what typically needs renewing when the manifold is loosened, so you avoid reusing tired washers and worn-out nuts.
During a rebuild it is worth checking the threads of the studs and the flatness against the sealing surface before everything is torqued together – a worn wave washer or a deformed gasket is enough for the leak to come back.
