Rust in the tank bottom, a cracked fuel hose and hardened rubber grommets are classic troubles on the 140s with the B20B from 1967-72 – often noticed as a smell of gas in the trunk or a tank that won't seal around the sender. This category covers wear and sealing parts specifically for the tank and filler system on these model years.

The group includes the fuel cap, fuel hose and venting hose, plus the grommet, sealing sleeve, gasket, clamp and screw needed when the tank is removed or the sender is replaced. During a tank job, rubber aging is the most common thing to check: old hoses and grommets let vapors through, while worn clamps and gaskets cause drip leaks. By replacing everything at once you avoid recurring odor and don't have to drop the tank several times.
