Camshaft Kit for Volvo B18/B20, A-Cam

Low oil pressure, knocking noises under load or rising oil consumption are classic signs of worn bearings and piston rings in the B18's rotating assembly. This category gathers parts to fully overhaul the rotating gear of the 1.8-liter motor (1,778 cc, 84.14 x 80 mm) that powered the P1800 and 1800S until the switch to the B20 ahead of the 1969 model year.

The group includes a main bearing set and rod bearings to restore axial clearance against the crankshaft, plus a piston set and piston ring set once the cylinder bores have been measured and possibly rebored. The gear set and key belong to the same job when the drive between crank and camshaft is gone over, and the associated screw and nut are collected here for correct torque during assembly. During an overhaul, bearing clearance and piston ring gap are typical inspection points — always measure against the crank journals and bores before selecting the bearing grade and piston dimension, so that the correct undersize is ordered.
