A gauge that dies, an oil pressure light that stays on, or a speedometer that reads wrong often starts in the sensor or the wire – not in the instrument housing itself. On four-cylinder 240 models with B21, B23 and B230, the oil pressure sender and the temperature sensor are classic checkpoints when warning lights and gauge readings act up.

This category gathers instrument parts for the 240 with four-cylinder engine. The group includes oil pressure senders and temperature sensors, speedometer cable, bulbs for instrument lighting and warning lights, plus decals, screws, clamps and rubber clamps for mounting and routing behind the panel.
When troubleshooting, it pays to check the sensor's thread and contact before condemning the gauge – a worn speedometer cable gives a jumpy reading, while a sluggish temperature sensor fools both the gauge and the cold start. Note that the four-cylinder 240 has its own sensors compared with the V6 cars.
