Rear view mirror Volvo 240/260 (-1984) Electric alt2

A mirror that vibrates in the airstream or sits crooked in its mount is often caused by tired or missing fasteners rather than the mirror housing itself. This category gathers the mounting and fastening parts for the electric side mirror (version alt 2) on the Volvo 240/260, model years 1975–84.

The group includes screw, hex. socket screw, nut, washer and lock washer to draw the mirror firmly against the door, plus an insulator that dampens rattles and prevents metal-to-metal contact. During a restoration the insulator and lock washer are common check points – they dry out and lose their tension over the years, which leads to play. Since the mounting and design vary between the left and right sides as well as between mirror variants, you should compare the hole pattern and dimensions against your existing mirror before fitting.
