A side mirror that wobbles or vibrates on an early 240/260 is often not the mirror itself but tired mounting hardware – a stretched nut, a missing insulator or a corroded screw that no longer pulls tight against the door frame. This category gathers the mounting components for the electric side mirror (version alt 1) on the 1975–78 model years.

The group includes nuts, washers and a screw for the attachment, an embellisher that covers the mounting point on the door, plus an insulator and toothed washer that counteract play and vibration. When changing the mirror or refurbishing the door, the insulator and toothed washer are common checkpoints – they flatten out over time and can cause the mirror to sit crooked. Since the attachment changed between versions, you should check that the parts match your mounting method before tightening.
