Good to know

On the Volvo 200 Series, Girling was standard equipment from 1980, but always check which brake system the car has before ordering.

Identifying Girling: The brake pads are held in place by two pins secured with R-shaped retaining clips. A spring between the pins holds each brake pad in place. The Girling brake caliper also has a relatively elongated shape.

Identifying ATE: The pins in the brake caliper are spring-loaded and secure themselves in place without R-shaped retaining clips.
