Brake caliper rear right for Volvo 240, 260 and 262. Fits cars with a Girling brake system and solid, non-ventilated rear brake discs. New caliper, not reconditioned. The Girling caliper can be identified by its retaining pins, which are locked with small clips; the ATE caliper's retaining pins are self-locking spring pins. Check which system your car has before ordering.

Fitting

Replace brake calipers in pairs on the same axle and fit new brake pads together with the new caliper. Bleed the brakes after fitting. Avoid heavy braking for the first few tens of kilometres.

Frequently asked questions

How do I know whether my car has Girling or ATE at the rear?

On the Girling caliper, the retaining pins are locked with small clips so that they cannot slide out. On the ATE caliper, the retaining pins are spring pins that lock themselves in the caliper. On the 240, 260 and 262, ATE calipers are mainly found on re-imported cars.

Are brake pads and bolts included?

No. Brake pads, the accessory kit with clips and the caliper bolts are separate items.
