Good to know

It is important to check which brake system the car has before ordering, as ATE and Girling use different designs.

Identifying ATE: The retaining pins are spring-loaded and secure themselves in the brake caliper. The pins have a spring ring and a narrower tip.

Identifying Girling: The retaining pins are secured with small retaining clips to prevent them from sliding out of the brake caliper.

The brake pads have an abrasive surface coating that helps the pad surface adapt to the brake disc during bedding-in. A temporary squealing noise may therefore occur when braking with new pads. This normally disappears after some driving.
