Headlight Volvo 740 (1990-) Alt 1

Dull, yellowed glass and fogging behind the reflector reduce the light output on late 740s – and brittle mounting brackets that have cracked make the headlamp wobble and point the wrong way. This category gathers lighting parts up to the Volvo 740 from 1990 in the version without beam leveling, so you can replace either the complete unit or just the worn detail.

The group includes complete headlamps and separate headlamp glass, bulbs, front panels and brackets as well as small parts such as spacers and flange lock nuts for the mounting. During restoration, the clarity of the glass and the condition of the brackets are typical checkpoints – replacing just the glass may be enough if the reflector is intact, while broken mounting tabs usually require a new bracket. Check the seal against the front panel so that moisture does not build up again and ruin the reflector surface.
