Dead instrument lighting, a fuel gauge that jumps or a temperature reading that won't rise are classic symptoms on the 740/760/780 – and they can point to anything from a tired sender to a loose connection in the wiring plate behind the gauge cluster. This category gathers parts to troubleshoot and freshen up the instrumentation.

The group includes oil pressure senders, temperature sensors and a temperature gauge, fuel gauge, plus the base plate, rubber plug and wiring plate that hold the gauge cluster together. A common check point with failing readings is exactly the contact surfaces of the wiring plate and the senders – they should be measured before condemning the whole gauge. Keep in mind that the design differs between the gas and diesel versions, so verify model and engine against your car when comparing parts.
