A dry, cracked rubber seal around the trunk lid easily lets in moisture, and water in the spare wheel well is often the first sign that the seal or a gasket should be checked. This category gathers the smaller parts that keep the lid tight and properly mounted on the Volvo 240/260 sedan between 1979 and 1985.

The group includes the rubber seal and gasket for sealing, the key blank for the lock, and mounting parts such as the lock washer, flange nut, washer, screw and spring pin. When refurbishing the lid, it is common for old washers and nuts to have rusted in place or worn out, and for the rubber seal to have flattened - the right parts then restore both fit and seal.
Since the 240/260 was built in several body variants and received changes over the years, the model year and version determine which parts fit, so always check against the car before replacement.
