Paint Volvo 164

Stone chips on the front fender, rust blisters along the lower edges or an engine that has lost its original color – on a 164, paint and color touch-ups are recurring maintenance. Matching the right color code is essential; pick the wrong shade and the difference shows immediately in daylight, so always start by reading off the original code before anything is applied.

Volvo expertise since 1999

We're here for you and your Volvo

This group includes car paint and body spray for sheet metal surfaces, primer that grips beneath the top coat, plus a sticky cloth to remove dust before the final coat. You will also find engine paint that withstands the heat around the B30's block and manifold, sealing compound for joints and metal seams, and rust protection spray for hidden cavities and the underbody.

A typical check point during restoration is to pre-treat blasted or sanded sheet metal with primer before the top coat – otherwise the car paint adheres poorly and the rust can creep back beneath the surface.
