Front suspension Volvo 140
Play in the steering wheel, clunking over bumps and uneven tire wear can point to the moving parts in the 140 front suspension. With its double control arm (wishbone) design and cam-and-roller steering, the ball joints and control arm bushings become common wear points once the car has covered many miles – and since the four-cylinder 140 models lack power steering, play is clearly felt in an already heavy steering wheel.
