A sluggish cold start, rough idle and misfires can just as often stem from a worn distributor as from old spark plugs. On the 140 with the twin-carburetor B20B engine, much of the ignition quality lives in the distributor – shaft play, burnt contacts and a dry centrifugal advance shift the spark out of position and cause jerky running.

This group includes the distributor and distributor rotor, an ignition cable set, spark plugs and the ignition coil, plus a seal, grease and decals for the 12-volt system. During an overhaul, the distributor's shaft play and the breaker cam contacts are typical inspection points – when the distributor is replaced, it's a good time to renew the ignition cables and plugs for a clean ignition pattern.
The parts are gathered for the B20B (code 241530), so that the design and connection match this specific carburetor engine.
