A loose brake pedal and worn rubber pad are classic issues on a 140 that has covered plenty of miles – when the bushing in the pedal mount dries out the movement feels rough and rattly, and a worn-smooth rubber gives poorer foot grip under hard braking. This category gathers wear and mounting parts for the brake pedal on the 140 Series with four-cylinder B18 and B20 motors, so the pedal joint works quietly and precisely.

The group includes bushings and the rubber pad as typical wear points, together with the cotter pin, screw, nut and washer for the mounting, plus grease and plastilube for lubricating the joint. When rebuilding the pedal assembly it pays to clean the shaft, replace dry bushings and grease up the bearing – this removes the play and the pedal regains its clean pressure feel in the dual-circuit system.
