When a hood binds in the closed position or sits crooked against the front fenders, the fault often lies in worn hinges and loose mounting screws – and it is precisely that mounting hardware this group gathers for the 140 of model year 1973-74. Since the 140 body received several detail changes during the production years, it is worth checking the mounting design against the car before installation, so that holes and washer positions match.

The group includes hinges along with mounting parts such as screws, nuts, anchorages, clamps and various washers – washer, spring washer and wave washer. A typical check point during restoration is to replace tired spring and wave washers at the same time as the hinges, so that the hood sits stably and the gap to the fenders becomes even. The anchorages replace the brittle original fasteners that often crack during removal.
