Rust in the floor panel often creeps up at the sills, jack pads and along the members where moisture and road salt collect under the carpet – classic rust-throughs on the 140 from the late 60s and into the 70s. This category gathers sheet metal parts and consumables to repair and weld up the base plate on model years 1967-72.

The group includes floor panel and sill plate to replace rust-damaged sections, jack pad and member that restore stiffness to the body, plus screws for mounting. For the welding job itself there is weld primer, primer and spray that protect bare sheet metal before it is painted. A common check point is to poke at the jack pad and the lower edge of the sill – if the metal looks healthy on the outside it can still be weakened from within, which only shows when the jack is loaded.
