A sluggish window regulator, a loose door handle, or a lock button that sticks are among the most common wear points on the rear doors when a 144 or 145 of the 1974 model year is being freshened up. This category gathers the small parts needed when the rear door's lock and elevator mechanism is taken apart and restored.

The group includes the door handle, the regulator channel that guides the window, the lock button and lock washer, plus mounting parts such as the washer, screw, cross recessed screw, and spring. On the 144 sedan and the 145 estate, the design of the rear doors differs, so check the fit against your specific body before disassembly. A typical checkpoint is the regulator channel – if it is deformed or rusty, the window runs unevenly and strains the entire elevator mechanism. Return springs and lock washers are inexpensive parts that have often lost their tension and deserve to be replaced at the same time as the handles and buttons.
