When restoring the front or rear bumper, the Screw, Flange Nut, Washer and plastic nut are typical checkpoints – old nuts often strip in the threads once they finally come loose. The group also includes retainers, guide sleeves that align the bumper to the body, as well as bumper mouldings that conceal joints and protect the paint. If you are replacing a moulding, it is a good idea to renew the fasteners and plastic nuts at the same time, since they rarely survive removal.
