Vibration at a certain speed or a metallic clunk when you release the clutch can point to worn universal joint crosses in the propeller shaft. On the 122 with B18 – the motor that arrived in August 1961 together with the 12-volt system – the universal joint crosses and their grease nipples are a common checkpoint, since dry-running crosses quickly develop play and rust.
