Universal joint with grease nipple for propeller shafts with a diameter of 44.5 mm. Suitable for several classic Volvo models and used to transmit power through the propeller shaft joints.

The universal joint has an overall width of 61 mm and bearing cups with a diameter of 24 mm. This size is also known as the “Small Universal Joint”.

Volvo 200 Series from 1985

Propeller shaft type 03 was used with two different universal joint sizes. Measure the width of the existing universal joint before ordering.

Volvo 700 Series

• Type 02 – shaft diameter 44.5 mm (this product)

• Type 03 – shaft diameter 50.8 mm

• Type 13 – identified by measuring the centre-to-centre distance between the universal joints

To distinguish type 03 from type 13, use the following measurements:

• Type 03 – centre-to-centre distance 106 mm

• Type 13 – centre-to-centre distance 208 mm

Good to know

On Volvo 200 with propeller shaft type 1140 and Volvo 700 with propeller shaft type 02, this universal joint fits only the front and centre positions.

Always measure your old universal joint before ordering. The bearing cup diameter must be 24 mm and the universal joint width 61 mm.
